In late 1967 Wilson Pickett began recording at American Sound Studio in Memphis. It was here that he met singer and aspiring songwriter Bobby Womack, who was working at the time as a guitarist. Pickett took a liking to Womack's songs (he had actually already recorded one of them back in 1966 on The Exciting Wilson Pickett), and released "I'm In Love" as a single - it got to #4 on the R&B chart. The follow-up album, all recorded at American Sound Studio, came out in early 1968, featuring Womack on guitar. It generated another two hits as well, Womack's "Jealous Love" (#18 R&B) and Rodger Collins' "She's Lookin' Good" (#7 R&B). Other songs included a cover of Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home To Me". The result was another solid installment in Pickett's series of successful soul albums.
