Bobby Womack - My Prescription (1969)

Bobby Womack was an American soul singer, songwriter and musician.

1969's My Prescription was Bobby Womack's second album, and his last on Minit Records. In consisted of some more fantastic soul music, driven by his raw, passionate vocals, much in the same style as his debut album. It produced five singles that did well on the R&B chart - a reworking of "I Left My Heart In San Francisco" (#48), "It's Gonna Rain" (#43), "I'm Gonna Forget About You" (#30), "More Than I Can Stand" (#23), and "How I Miss You Baby" (#13, his highest charting solo single at the time). However, none of them got far into the Billboard Top 100. The album also repeated his classic cover of "Fly Me To The Moon".
After leaving Minit, he signed with United Artists.
